Communication and Journalism Internship Workshop Recap

This past Thursday, November 5th, the PRSSA held a Communication and Journalism Internship Workshop. Our speaker for this workshop was Dr. Aaron Moore from the Communication and Journalism Department at Rider University. Dr. Moore teaches public relations and event planning and professionally, he serves as a communication consultant. Dr. Moore's research interests include media ownership, sports journalism, and gambling trends. At this event, Dr. Moore covered different types of internships for students as well as how to apply and receive college credit. He provided students with tips on how to find internships, apply for those internships and how to choose the right opportunity for them. A student intern, Jason, was then invited to speak about his past and current internship experiences. The workshop closed with a group discussion and Q&A.
