During our weekly meetings, we typically talk about upcoming events, evaluate previous events, and learn about different areas in the PR field. This week was dedicated to a preparatory and informative meeting.
Dr. Wiencek shared the news that the Public Relations Society is now an official chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America! By being a member, students will receive a variety of benefits, including exclusive internships, internship scholarships, participating in discounted trips and receiving exclusive networking opportunities. Members will also receive information from practicing PR professionals as well as advice and tips for their professional lives after college.
The "Top Five" movie night is scheduled for Thursday, March 26th, at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Science Building, Room 102. This event is free, open to all majors and pizza will be served.

The Crisis Communication Workshop will take place on Tuesday, March 31st, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. It will be held in the Sweigart Hall Auditorium, Room 115. Refreshments including cookies, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate will be provided for all attendees and speakers.
On Saturday, April 11th, Rider University will be hosting its second Admitted Students’ Day. During the Club Fair starting at 1pm, the Public Relations Society will have a table set-up for students and their families to visit. Members are encouraged to volunteer to represent our society at the fair.
The Public Relations Society meets every Tuesday in Fine Arts Room 200 from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Come join us for our next meeting!
